Do you have fine or deep lines under your eyes. Maybe they are caused by sun damage, a lack of sleep, or age. Some younger people have them, just because of heredity. We have gotten a natural tip to sooth the skin around your eyes, and many people claim that it is an effective eye area wrinkle remedy without the high cost of commercial products! Besides, it is all natural.

Dab honey on the skin under your eyes, and then leave it on for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse it off with tepid water mixed with a few drops of apple cider vinegar. Read more on the Over 50 Website - Natural Eye Wrinkle Remedy.

Homemade Facial

Our homemade sunburn relief was a big hit, so we thought we’d follow it up with a homemade facial cure. Well, you know that commercial preparations that are made with natural oatmeal are very popular, and very effective. As a point of fact, when my kids had chicken pox (right before the vaccine came out), the commercial oatmeal preparation seemed to give them the best relief!

Well, why not use oatmeal as a natural facial? First open your pores with cloth dipped in hot water. Make a paste with oatmeal and apply it to your face. Wear that for 15 minutes, and then wash your face with a cloth dipped in cool water.

Many people suggest adding a bit of honey and a raw egg to the mixture. Sounds almost good enough to eat! Well, maybe not the raw egg, but you get the idea. Others suggest milk (full fat, not skim).

And, we got a tip to use lemon juice to fade age spots. I think I’ll go try that one!

Cheap Homemade Sunburn Relief

Summer Sun Means Sunburns

As sure as April showers bring May flowers, the summer sun brings sunburns. Oh, of course we should use sunscreen and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. But we do not want to pass up a day at the beach or neighborhood pool for the fun and exercise. Despite our best efforts to protect our skin, we do suffer a burn once in awhile.

Homemade Sunburn Relief

We all know about aloe, and if you have a plant at home that is great. You can also buy preparations with aloe in them. However, this wonderful, cooling preparation can be taken right out of the fridge without buying a specially made sunburn gel or growing any plants!

You need 1 tablespoon of Yogurt at room temp. It should be regular yogurt, and not the low fat variety. You also need 1 teaspoon of soft honey. You can warm it up for a few seconds in the microwave so it is soft. You also need some hot or warm water and a washcloth. That’s it!

Mix the honey and yogurt together. Apply the mixture to your burn. Then soak the washcloth in the hot water and use it to wash your face.  Use common sense about the temprerature of the water. A sunburn may not enjoy very hot water, but you may want a steaming washcloth if you use this for an every day facial.

Tips: You can also use this preparation as a wonderful, soothing facial. If your skin is dry, you can double the honey. If your skin is oily, add a few drops of lemon or lime juice.
