If you are strapped for cash, sometimes you just need some quick ways to raise some extra money. Most of you are already busy with your jobs and families. So you need some tips that do not require you to actually take on a heavy time commitment. But you need to make enough money to matter too.
Ways To Raise Extra Cash On The Side.
Have A Garage Sale: You know you have stuff around your house that you have not used in years, or maybe you just have some items you would like to replace. If you are going to have a yard sale, figure out when he best times are in your neighborhood and make sure you promote it in advance. On some busy streets, just setting your stuff out on the driveway will be enough. But you can probably increase your traffic by planting a few signs on intersections that get more traffic. You may even want to place a cheap (sometimes free) classifieds in a shoppers or neighborhood paper.
You may want to cooperate with a few neighbors in order to get more help. You can buy some cheap colored sticky tags in order to keep track of your items. A large garage sale, that is well promoted, can actually stay busy and bring in some extra money. The added benefit is the ability to get some stuff cleaned out of your house.
Tip: If your gargage sale will be held on a warm day, have a cooler of sodas or bottled water. Workers can take them for cost, but you can charge visitors a bit more!
Check Out Consignment and Thrift Shops: Thrift shops are booming! Can you clean out your gently worn, but outgrown clothes for some extra money? If you check around, I’ll be you can profit from cleaning out and organizing your closets.
Sell Stuff Online: This is a bit more complicated, but sites like EBay and Amazon have thousands of online sellers, and they have been developed to be user friendly. Once you get the knack of selling online, you can always have a ready source of cash at your fingertips! Good things to consider are books, video games, and dvds. Go ahead and see what types of gently used things other sellers are clearing out online.
Freelance: Writers, photographers, and artists can find a booming freelance market online. You do not have to be a Pulitzer price winning author to find work writing short content for the web.
Provide a Service: Can you baby sit, walk a dog, or take a senior on errands. Many busy families are happy to pay for these services, and you may be able to find some that fit in with your schedule. If these ideas don’t appeal to you, get creative. I knew a man who made about $100 a day by visiting apartment complexes with his carpet cleaning machine and some supplies.
